Bye-Bye Butterfree

This is an experiment in randomized story-based roleplaying in Pokemon.

Click the "random" button to find a post. Read the scenario, then, in your Pokemon game, carry out the instructions.

For example, your pokemon might fall in love and want to be released. Maybe it doesn't tell you it wants to go, but you can just tell that it would be happier with its mate. Each post will have a "goal" stated. For this example, the goal would be to release the pokemon in-game.

Other goals might involve catching certain types of pokemon, facing a gym leader without one of your main party members, farming berries, etc.

Obviously failing to carry out a goal has no effect but if you decide you'd rather keep Butterfree around, how might that weigh on your soul? This experiment aims to make Pokemon a more emotional game experience.

008: Scared of Change

One of your party pokemon is afraid to evolve. It can’t explain, but it just seems so scary. Don’t make it evolve; don’t let it evolve, please ;^;

Goal: Choose a pokemon in your party. This pokemon cannot be allowed to evolve. If it’s a stone-evolve pokemon, you need only keep stones away from it. If it’s a level-evolve pokemon, have it hold an everstone or cancel evolution every level.

Pokemon, above all, want to be active and useful. If its unevolved form is crippling your team, your pokemon will evolve for you. It will evolve for you, please don’t leave it in the PC :c
